Navy SBIR/STTR Program
THE
U.S. NAVY'S SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH (SBIR) AND SMALL BUSINESS
TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER (STTR) PROGRAMS are administered by the Office of
Naval Research (ONR), and was designed to fund science and technology
areas that enhance the Navy's capabilities through small business
innovations.
With a focus on dual-use technologies, these programs involve small businesses in federal research and development with a common goal of transitioning the technology into applications and products useful to the U.S. military and the private sector.
The Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program is a highly competitive three-phase award system providing qualified small business concerns with opportunities to propose innovative ideas that meet the specific research and development needs of the Federal Government.

KIRKLAND is one of the top inside linebackers in the NFL. He has produced
100 or more tackles per season during the majority of his professional
football career, and has not finished lower than second on his team in
tackles during that period. He is extremely durable and has started every
game since 1995. He combines an incredible mix of size and speed that few,
if any, at his position possess. He has appeared in the Pro Bowl, and has
earned All-Pro honors in several of the past seasons.

4th Annual MDA Small Business Day Conference
THE
MISSILE DEFENSE AGENCY (MDA) hosts an annual Small Business Day Conference
designed to assist small businesses in learning about MDA’s prime
contracting requirements from MDA’s technical experts, and provides a
forum for small businesses to discuss potential subcontracting
opportunities with representatives from current MDA prime contractors.
Featured at the conferences are guest speakers discussing the MDA contracting process, contract bundling and other issues important to small companies.
